single sex schools that are still very popular in England, dying to meet boys. Suddenly there was a safe, but fun environment in which to do so. Alcohol is strictly prohibited, and there are paramedics on hand for emergencies. The parties have top security and are by ticket only, so parents feel totally confident in letting their precious offspring spend one night in the hands of professional party people.

Justin tells me about the various themes: There is the 'Valentine's Ball' which is romantic, the 'Mayday Party,' which is crazy, 'La Fiesta,' which is a carnival affair, 'The Oasis,' which is a beach blast, and finally, 'The Mistletoe at Christmas,' which Euan Blair, Prime Minister Tony Blair's son attended. The dress code is always smart. "We run competitions, such as 'The Most Glam Girl' and we feature a variety of acts. We've even had 'The Prodigy' perform!

I ask Justin about the best and worst parties that he's organized. "They are all the best!" is his response. So what is his advice for any young party entrepreneurs reading this in the USA? "If you think of an idea and want to do it, stick at it. The myth is that you need money to make money, but that is not true. You have to believe in what you're doing, don't let people put you down. My parents thought I was crazy at first! If you're too proud to work at something, It's not possible to get to the top. You have to start at the bottom."

Wise words, indeed, from the tanned, relaxed, and obviously successful Mr. Etzin. It is as I leave that Justin tells me, "I'm getting older now. It's time to pass the party crown to someone younger." Any takers out there? Or perhaps you have your own ideas of what to do with that car washing money.....
