While audiences may be thriving on these new shows now, Roush believes that voyeur TV will eventually exhaust itself. "Competing with so many other cable, internet, and home video programs, networks are constantly searching for other attention grabbing forms of entertainment," Mr. Roush told TeenSpeak. Television will go to great lengths in order to get a large audience. This in turn, troubles Roush because all standards are dropped to the lowest common denominator where taste barriers seem not to exist. "Where do we draw the line to justify time on TV?" he asked. He went on to add that we are living in a coarser time where language, music, video games, and all other sorts of entertainment, where heroes are often violent, and sexual behavior is explicit just for better ratings. "Unfortunately, we've pushed the envelope so far, we can't unseal it," Roush sadly admitted.

So, how real is 'real TV?' It's up to you to decide.
