Jets' - Wesley Walker

Former Jets standout receiver Wesley Walker was caught observing Jets training camp on July 21st. Walker told TeenSpeak that he liked the progress that the Jets were making. Yet, he felt that many football teams need to give new players more opportunities to perform. Walker said that football has changed so much since he used to play, stating that some of the players don't get looked at enough, or given a fair chance to make the team.

Walker cited Jets' quarterback coach Dan Henning as a great coach, admitting that without him, he wouldn't have been as great a player. He added that tight end Anthony Becht could be a great player because of his well rounded ability. He was glad to see the Jets giving him a chance to play first string. He did say, however, that Becht needs to work on his blocking, because the NFL is so much more difficult than college football. Currently a teacher, Wesley Walker also does some pre-game shows on WFAN-AM for the Jets. He says he's happiest now, off the famous football pedestal, recognized for the person he is, and not for how many touchdowns he has made.
