Although their music is catchy, it does not convey either the same message or sound that you would expect from a popular band. Preserving their original back-bone sound, a perfect blending of 3 vocals, guitar, bass, and drum band, Dispatch has diversified their musical styles, adding reggae and rock to the mix, which their every-growing number of fans can hear on their new cd, "Who Are We Living For. "There will always be a style with Dispatch, there will always be three voices... but the backdrop of the music will be ever-changing," Brad explained. "Our next record will be so different from this last one, that people will ask, why did you do that... you don't look back, you are just continually looking forward," he added.

Dispatch is a band with ideas of reforming radio and music today. They are not particularly impressed with the music played and the messages that are being expressed through the sound waves of the radio. Brad Corrigan says, "The stuff on the radio has no inspiration, it has no originality.... it's noise. We have ideas of reforming radio, and bringing it back to the '60s and '70s... when you can turn on Hendrix, Tom White, all this stuff where the songs don't sound the same."

It is for that reason, that the band stresses that being bigger isn't always better. Working with heavy weight-producers who wanted to package them into a cookie cutter music world would compromise what the band is trying to accomplish. "I think one important thing is that we had opportunities to sign with different labels, but that would have limited us both creatively and with our own ideas of what we want from this business," Pete/RePete adds. Rising to the next level of popularity, and still keeping their unique sound is a challenge, but Dispatch intends to make their own decisions about the direction of their music.

There is a vibe that separates good bands from the many bands that are out there. Dispatch is one of those few bands that is able to create this rare vibe. It's impossible to describe the vibe, but anybody who sees the band, knows it's there. "People don't go to a show because they can say, 'wow, that was technically amazing.' They go for energy, personality. I think that the majority of people are looking for energy," commented Brad. Energy is the essence of the band. As long as they are able to keep it going through their strenuous touring schedule, the band will continue to share that energy and with an ever-increasing audience.
