Whatever you do, whatever camp you go, to make sure you work hard. Try to be the hardest worker and always pay attention. Listen to the coach." He said that being one of seven kids growing up was tough, but his mother was his role model, and she did an "unbelievable job. I will always commend her for doing that." Her motto, as remembered by her son, "The Golden Rule... treat others the way you want to be treated.

Contending that people see athletes as though they were part of a "billboard," Marbury still believes that they have to behave professionally at all times, and be held to a high standard. "The power of the pen is unbelievable," he remarked, indicating that the media tries to go after the negatives sometimes in order to get a great story.

If you ask this TeenSpeak reporter, Stephon Marbury deserves our respect on many planes.
