Prayers
We are collecting prayers to post on our website. They can be your favorite prayers (credit given) or ones you write yourself. Please forward your prayers to teenspk@optonline.net , any artwork should be sent as a jpeg attachment. If we all pray together, hopefully all of our prayers will be granted in 2005.

I pray that each one of us opens someone’s eyes to possibilities - that each one of us reaches out and enriches a human heart even if that heart is in the most remote corner of the world so that every human being on this planet can feel loved, appreciated and rejoice in the gift that is their life. |

Dear Jesus,
I do love You so,
And that is something,
I need You to know.
No matter what I say,
No matter what I feel,
Deep down inside,
I know that you are real.
Jesus I don’t understand,
But I know that You do,
I put my life in Your hands,
Knowing You’ll see me through.
I don’t know what to feel,
I don’t know what to say,
I don’t know what to do,
So all I do is pray.

Breathe Deep - A Prayer
I pray for my ancestors of this land,
and from a desert far away,
I pray for rain for the parched,
and for thirst for the over-quenched,
so that they may understand their brother’s pain.
I pray for freedom

| My prayer is not to prevent those I love from experiencing pain, for through pain one gains understanding and strength, but that each person finds their guardian angel who will give them a hand when they have stumbled, a shoulder when they have tears, and a smile when they have forgotten how. |

A Thanksgiving Prayer
Samuel F.
"O God, when I have food,
help me to remember the hungry;
When I have work,
help me to remember the jobless;
When I have a home,
help me to remember those who have no home at all;
When I am without pain,
help me to remember those who suffer,
And remembering,
help me to destroy my complacency;
bestir my compassion,
and be concerned enough to help;
By word and deed,
those who cry out for what we take for granted.
Amen."

This prayer was taught to me by my great grandmother
nearly 60 years ago. I still say it:
God is my help in every need,
God does my every hunger feed,
God walks beside me and guides my way
through every moment of the day.
I now am wise, I now am true,
Patient, Kind and Loving too,
All things I am, can do and be
through Christ the Lord that is in me.
God is my health, I can't be sick
God is my strength, unfailing quick
God is my all, I know no fear,
Since God and Love and Truth are here.
Amen.
God Bless You

I pray for inspiration to us all so that we can defeat all those tendencies and thoughts that have made us apathetic and cynical. I pray for rejuvenation, re-dedication and re-energizing of our bodies and souls to take on all challenges that prevent peace and happiness.
