About Our Staff

By Rachel Ivanhoe

TeenSpeak thought it would be interesting for our readers to learn a little about the reporters who write for our publication. What follows is a written introduction to some of our staff. We will continue to provide our readers with information on our staff reporters on a regular basis.

Courtney Giannone joined TeenSpeak because she thought it would be a good exper-ience that would give her a chance to improve her writing. Her first interview was with principle dancer and now Director of the Alvin Ailey Dance Company, Judith Jamieson. This was an incredibly special experience for Courtney who has studied many forms of dance at the Ailey School. Courtney believes that it is important for teens to know what is going on in the world because teens need to learn from our leaders, both from their achievements and from their mistakes so that they can improve our world when it is their turn.

Jordan Mamorsky joined TeenSpeak because he likes to write. Jordan partic-ularly enjoys writing about sports: a loyal reader of sports pages of many publications, and a sports enthusiast, himself. He also enjoys writing about politics very much, and hopes that he can inform teens who are not typically interested in politics to take an interest.

Lindsay Meyers de-cided to work for TeenSpeak because she feels that it is important for youth to know the way they have to be, and to follow in the footsteps of our world’s role models in order to improve society in the future. Lindsay also thinks that TeenSpeak is a great experience for her because she has strong opinions on most issues, and being a part of TeenSpeak is a great way to put those ideas to use.
